8 and 9 broken

Hey Alex, I have an 8 year old patient who fell and broke #8 and 9 (8 is broken hoizontally about 2mm above the gum, 9 is broken obliquely from the disto-incisal angle to the mesial gum line). He is class II and his teeth are flaired with big diastemas. He is coming in for cosmetic, composite buildups of the two teeth. I was thinking of doing them in CEREC paradigm using database... thoughts? Ideas? Pit-falls to watch for? Thanks!!

Alex : I am considering the upgrade to the AC/BlueCam. We are doing about 20 cerecs a month right now, have had our machine for 3 years. I have looked at the new units, they are beautiful, but I am having trouble seeing where we get any ROI??

Any comments ??

Hi Alex, I have a patient who has an end to end bite. How do you feel about doing CERECS on these molar teeth on top and bottom? The worn anteriors need and missing molar need to be addressed also. I will try and post 3 pics, one per post of the upper, lower, and anterior. I am having hard time inserting images, what how do I do that again?
Thanks,
Marty Williams

Alex, can you post a few pictures of a case that is an inlay/onlay combined prep? We have several Dr.s that are interested in doing all porcelain work but are not Cerec Drs. Their preps are not quite what we need. They are still thinking box retention. If we can show them actual case preps and a bur selection it would be an immense help!

Occlusion etc.

Hi Alex,
I have several questions for you today. First of all should I post them separately or together? For now they are together. Would you discuss CERECs and occlusion. When do you leave the occlusion on the remaining tooth and when do you suggest taking that part of the tooth away and incorporating the occlusal contact into the CEREC? How do I put photos on the forum? I have several cases that didn't work out as easily as I thought they should have and would like your input. I also have several cases I would like your input on before I attempt them. I tried virtual cad bite and itis much easier to work with than metal bite although not as rigid. Also is there a way to get an email response to notify us that there is a reply to our qustions on the forum? I noticed that on another forum I am part of and it is very helpful.
Thanks and hope all is well,

Marty Williams

Hey all,
I have done a ton of onlays over the last year. A few of those have required unanticipated root canal therapy. In such cases I usually remove the onlay. Then i build up the tooth and cement a full coverage Cerec at no cost. Was wanting some feedback on this. What do you do?

Hey man -- new site looks pretty nice, and I"ll look forward to seeing more material. That new BlueCam looks really sweet, but I think I'm going to have to hold off for a while since I'll likely be moving my office at the end of this year (lease is up and I want a more visible location).

I might see if I can make your February course - I'm assuming it's at Sirona Headquarters?
