Topic: Anterior case

Alex I have a patient who broke off #7 at gumline except on facial where it is 2 mm subgingival. The tooth had a previous RCT and she wants it restored asap. Can I do this with CEREC and how?

Hi Marty,

Complicated case, but do-able.  Possibly gingival sculpting on facial if this is not a problem esthetically.  Certainly a ceramic post (zirconia) and composite core.  Then, CEREC over that after prep.  Do not try to fabricate the post integral with the CEREC crown - it WILL break (ask me how I know). 

Other option - Use CEREC Connect and have the lab do the crown...
